For the treatment of disturbances of consciousness resulting from head injuries, brain operation, and acute stage of cerebral infarction in an adult only.
Increasing the brain chemical (phosphatidylcholine) and decreasing the damage to brain tissues. It acts as a precursor for phospholipids (present in the outer membrane of the nerve cell) and also stimulates phospholipid synthesis in the brain.
Levodopa, Meclofenoxate, Centrophenoxine, and Any other medicine, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
The common side effects are: Stomach pain, Vertigo, Rash, Insomnia, Feeling of warmth, Convulsions, Vomiting, and Pain at the site of injection.
Citicoline should be used in pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. ยท Caution should be exercised during breastfeeding because it is not known whether citicoline is excreted in human breast milk.
